Children Not Numbers (Palestine)

Children Not Numbers is dedicated to improving the lives of children in Gaza through medical care, education, and rehabilitation. The organisation works to respond to the complex needs of young Palestinians living in conditions of ongoing conflict and instability, where access to essential services is often severely limited.
Comprised of a multidisciplinary team of medics, lawyers, mental health professionals, and volunteers from around the world, Children Not Numbers addresses both the immediate and longer-term challenges faced by children in Gaza. The organisation operates a range of projects, including an education and empowerment programme, pharmacy and medical aid clinics in Gaza, and post-evacuation support for Palestinian children in Egypt.
By combining medical expertise with legal advocacy and educational support, Children Not Numbers aims to provide a coordinated and compassionate response to crisis, helping children maintain dignity, stability, and opportunities for recovery despite the conditions they face.

Mutual Aid Sudan (Sudan)

Mutual Aid Sudan brings together grassroots Sudanese mutual aid groups and international supporters to fund locally led humanitarian efforts. The coalition focuses on supporting informal community aid networks, which receive less than one percent of international humanitarian funding despite operating on the frontlines of the crisis.
At the heart of this work are Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms (ERRs), community-based networks of volunteers who organise and deliver lifesaving aid, including food, medical assistance, shelter, and protection, across neighbourhoods affected by conflict and displacement.
Unlike many traditional aid models, Mutual Aid Sudan prioritises direct, flexible support that allows local aid groups to determine their own priorities, rather than adapting to external NGO requirements. By simplifying the aid process and minimising intermediaries, more resources reach the communities in need quickly, with a high proportion of donated funds going straight to frontline efforts. This ensures that help comes from those with the deepest understanding of local needs.

City of Goodness (Ukraine)

City of Goodness (Misto Dobra) is a Ukrainian charity providing a safe haven and support for women and children facing extreme hardship. The organisation supports children evacuated due to the war, families affected by violence and domestic abuse, and children requiring palliative care or rehabilitation.
The organisation runs a residential home in Chernivtsi, western Ukraine, which provides a secure and supportive environment where women and children can receive comprehensive care. Support begins with evacuation and transportation where needed and continues through medical, psychological, legal, and humanitarian assistance. City of Goodness remains committed to families even after they leave the shelter, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and stability.
Operating without government funding, the charity relies entirely on public donations and partnerships. Guided by values of kindness, respect, openness, and attention to individual needs, City of Goodness seeks to offer not only immediate safety, but long-term pathways toward recovery and hope for Ukrainian families.
